Community My Garden Project Call for Volunteers

The My Garden Project is a free program sponsored by Howard University Hospital and the College of Medicine. The program supports the creation of personal gardens for 50 District families with elementary and middle school-age children. The aim is to teach children and families the importance of healthy eating and the joy of watching fruits and vegetables grow.

Join us as a volunteer as we empower families with the knowledge and enthusiasm to make healthier lifestyle choices and the resources needed to prevent disease.

Planting will occur on April 18 and April 24, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. To sign up, email Liseli James at with your name, email, phone number, and day(s) you wish to volunteer. We welcome all student organizations that seek to volunteer as groups
