5th Annual Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPE/IPP) Conference: 

Moving Toward Health Equity: From Neighborhoods to Global Communities

Abstract Submission Now Open!

Scholars, community providers, advocates, students, and diverse health care professionals with a focus on health equity are invited to submit abstracts related to one of the four conference themes in the areas of completed research, research proposals, and best practices in clinical practice and education addressing the following:  

  • Behavioral and Environmental Concerns
  • Clinical and Translational Directives
  • Social Justice, Immigrant, and Global Health Initiatives
  • Social Determinants of Health (Community and Environmental)

Guidelines for Abstract Submission:

  • Abstracts must be submitted via email to by November 30, 2017.
  • Submissions for group presentations should be done by the group coordinator (primary contact) on behalf of all authors.
  • Successful applicants will be notified by email no later than December 15, 2017.
  • Successful applicants must confirm their acceptance by January 5, 2018.

There will be three types of presentations:  

1-2 Individual Oral: 20 minute presentation - 10 minute dialogue

Poster: Will be given specific time within the program

Groups: 15-20 minutes per person – additional time for dialogue

Abstract Submission Formats: 

Abstract Title up to 250-300 words 

Presentation Title

Information for primary contact and all authors/presenters including:

  3. Contact email

Completed Research: Introduction, Methods, Findings, Discussion 

Research Proposals: Introduction, Conceptual/Theoretical Framework, Methods, Discussion         

Best Practices in Practice & Education: Problem, Strategies, Outcomes, Discussion
