The Department of Nutritional Sciences has four undergraduate programs resulting in a BS degree in Nutritional Sciences. The curricular for the four programs are as follows:
The Coordinated Dietetic Program offers a combination of didactic and experiential education which allows graduates to write the Registration Examination following graduation. The program, accredited by the American Dietetic Association, allows for the mastery of the foundation knowledge and skills competencies for entry-level dietitians. Classroom learning is combined with 1200 hours of supervised practice.
The pre-med and pre-dent options focus on preparing students for entry into medical and dental schools. The Community Nutrition option prepares students for positions as community nutritionists with private and government agencies.
