CPE Monitor: New Requirement to Track your CPE
Important new requirement from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy for all pharmacists and technicians who obtain CPE credit. The CPE Monitor system will securely track all your completed CPE credits in a central system.

About Us

The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Program sponsors and co-sponsors various pharmacy-practice-based courses at the local level. The program predominately partners with the Howard University College of Pharmacy Alumni Association and the Washington DC Pharmacists Association to assist the metropolitan area’s pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in meeting licensure requirements while advancing their practices.

The mission of the Howard University College of Pharmacy CPE Program is to remain as a reliable source of pharmacist and pharmacy technician professional development and practice advancement opportunities by providing quality continuing education programming events that promote the knowledge, skills and application of current drug therapy and innovative pharmacy practice approaches.

The goal of the Howard University College of Pharmacy CPE Program is to promote the professional development and continuing education of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in a variety of practice settings by providing educational programs that focus on current trends in drug therapy management resulting in optimal patient outcomes and to meet relevant accreditation standards and state licensure requirements.

The Howard University College of Pharmacy complies with the Accreditation Council For Pharmacy Education’s Criteria for Quality for continuing education programming. Statements of continuing education credit issued to program participants indicate CE hours based on verified attendance.
