The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has always been dedicated to continuing the legacy of Howard as an Institution of Excellence and its mission of serving the Washington metropolitan community. Faculty and staff have established strong and dynamic relationships with community organizations that provide the opportunity to promote excellence in obstetric and gynecologic care.

The Department also promotes the advancement of faculty through their participation in national and international organizations and meetings with the intent to influence the care of women, particularly in areas where health disparities are prominent. In turn, the faculty maintains the highest level of resident and medical student education and research.

As we move forward with innovative projects and programs, the legacy of Howard University guides us onward into the future.
